To add files such as a PEG or PEG2 script and geofences to an account, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you are logged in to the account to which you want to add a file or the parent of the subaccount(s). (See Switching Accounts if you need to change the account.)

  2. Click  in the left sidebar menu.

  3. Click Device Files on the flyout menu that appears.

The Device Files screen will appear and list the device files of the account you are logged in to.

  4. Click Add New at the top right.

The Add File dialog box will be displayed.

  5. Select the device type and file type from the Device Type and File Type drop-down lists.

  6. Add the required file to the Upload File section by using the browse-for-file option () or dragging and dropping it where indicated.

  7. If the Version field has been added in the Metadata area (this depends on the type of file you are adding), type the file version.
Note: You will need to manually add the script version when you are uploading a script.
For some file types, you will also need to provide a platform, reported name, and app ID.

  8. Type a description of the file in the Description field.

  9. Optionally, in the Release Notes section, you can include release notes with text that provides information about the file by using the browse-for-file option (), dragging and dropping the notes where indicated, or typing a URL that leads to them in the Enter URL field.

  10. In the Accounts section, click the File Access For drop-down arrow and select one of these options, depending on which accounts need to be able to use the file:

    • Only This Account: The file will be available only for devices in the account you are logged in to.

    • All Subaccounts: The file will be available for devices in the account you are logged in to and its subaccounts.

    • Choose Subaccounts: This will add a Select Account field in which you will need to select the subaccount names the file should be available for from the drop-down list.

  11. Click Done.
Note: After you add the file, the system will validate it and update its Validation value on the Device Files screen. If the status is returned as Invalid, click the overflow menu icon () and select Edit to view the errors. Make the required changes in the file, upload the updated file, and click Done.
