With the new Inventory Manager module, you can place orders for devices without knowing ahead of time which region (US or EU) the devices will operate in. There is now a third "region," called Inventory in CTC Admin, which contains devices that haven't been placed in a true region yet. When making such an order, you simply specify Inventory as the region.

After the devices are provisioned (shipped to you from CalAmp), you can activate them via the Provisioned Devices screen as follows:

Note: Your user role will need to have Read and Update privileges enabled for the Provisioned Devices page in order for you to be able to activate your devices using the steps below.

  1. Make sure that you are logged in to the account to which you want to activate the devices. (See Switching Accounts if you need to change the account.)
  2. Click  on the left sidebar menu.
  3. Click Provisioned Devices on the flyout menu that appears.
    The Provisioned Devices screen will appear. By default, it displays only devices that were fulfilled from orders for the Inventory region.
  4. Select the check boxes of the devices you want to activate.
    Note: You can select multiple devices as follows:
    1. Click the check box at the top left of the grid.
      The Select options will appear.
    2. You can select the first 20 devices by clicking Select 20 Items on This Page.
      You can select all the devices in the grid by clicking Select All X Items.
  5. Click Bulk Actions at the far right of the options bar above the grid.
    The Bulk Inventory Device Actions dialog box will appear.
  6. Leave Activate selected on the left.
  7. Optionally, you can change the name of the action by selecting the text in the Activity Name field and typing the new name.
  8. Click Process.
  9. You can check the status of the bulk action (as you can for any bulk activity) by clicking  in the banner at the top of the screen.
    After the status of the Activate activity changes to Completed, the devices will be listed on the Devices screen (as long as you have the account in which you placed them selected in the Account Switcher).
