The Devices screen utilizes smart search, which means that you can search using partial keywords, to enable you to easily find exactly the devices you need. After you perform a search, you can save it to quickly pull up those devices again.

Searching for a Device

To search for a device, follow these steps:

  1. Click  in the left sidebar menu.

The Devices screen will appear and list all the devices in the account you are logged in to.
Note: Your search will return results only for that account (and its subaccounts, if you have View Subaccounts selected). See Switching Accounts for details on how to change the account you are viewing.

  2. If you want to specify the field by which to search, click the Any Field drop-down arrow and select it (such as ID or ESN).

To search using any field, leave this set to Any Field.

  3. Type part of the device name, device ID, or other field you chose in the Search field and press Enter.
Note: You can also copy and paste a large number of ESNs or other device identifiers in the Search bar, but in this case, you'll need to use their full identifiers. (You can use just spaces OR commas to separate the ESNs; either will work.)

Some field choices, such as Status, Model, and Groups, will give you a drop-down list from which to choose. The date/time options will offer a recent time frame or calendar pickers from which to select dates.
Only devices that match your search criteria will appear in the grid.

Your search criteria will appear at the top left of the grid. You can clear the search by clicking  or Clear All.
