NEW-AND-IMPROVED IMPLEMENTATION OF JOBS
We have created an entirely new screen for jobs that significantly improves the user experience. You can find the new page at Provisioning >> Jobs 2.0 Beta. This feature is in beta, so you can try out our new implementation and give feedback, but still have access to our previous Jobs screen (also on the Provisioning menu, now labeled “Jobs Legacy”).
WARNING! The legacy Jobs screen will be available alongside the new page for the next couple of months but will eventually be deprecated. Our current plan is to remove the old one sometime in March 2025, but that may vary.
This is what you can expect from the new Jobs 2.0 screen:
- It has two tabs, My Jobs and All Jobs, which display only jobs that you created and all the jobs that have been created by users in your organization, respectively. The My Jobs tab is the default view so that you can quickly find your own jobs.
- The number of tasks and devices in the job will be displayed in their own columns.
- A new column, Creator, will show who created the job.
- You will be able to view a job’s data individually on the screen; when you click a job’s ID, the job will open on another tab, and you can check details about each task. You can have up to five tabs of jobs open, enabling you to switch quickly between them to compare information.
- You can click at the top left of the grid to expand a filter pane. In each section, you can select a check box to show only results that match that criteria, based on job status, job creator, and the day the job was created.
BUG FIXES
We fixed a few issues with the Bulk Activity Status window, including the following:
- When loading, the Bulk Activity Status grid would just keep showing the loading icon when no data was available. Now, “No Results” will be displayed in that case.
- We are now displaying more meaningful names in the Entity Name column, such as “Bulk Edit: 100 Devices; 20250105” instead of “bulk-sim-simActivate.”
We fixed two bugs with the Devices screen’s Device Details window:
- The Current view of the Files tab would not load its data unless you clicked Current a second time. (Now it will load when Current is first selected.)
- On the Log view of the Files tab, we fixed the record count at the bottom right to show the correct number of entries.
