IMPROVED PROCESS FOR JOB CREATION

We made several improvements to the procedure for creating a job:

  • When you are adding a new job, now you will see only compatible vehicle bus file types for your selection of devices (instead of all files). When you choose a specific configuration in the Device/File Type drop-down list, the dialog box will automatically filter to find just matching files.
  • When you include an app ID as one of your selected devices’ filters, only that app ID will now be available in the App ID drop-down list.
  • When you are selecting a file, the filename options in the drop-down list will have a tooltip with the file description (that can display up to 280 characters). (In addition, the tooltip containing the description will be available in other CTC Admin locations with filenames.)

WARNING ABOUT 50,000 DEVICES LIMIT FOR JOBS

We added validation that will prevent you from assigning over 50,000 devices to a new job and will inform you via a dialog box if you attempt to exceed that limit.

COPY AND PASTING MORE THAN 1,024 IDENTIFIERS IN BULK ACTIONS

In the Bulk Asset Actions dialog box, you can now copy and paste more than 1,024 identifiers (such as VINs [vehicle identification numbers]) into the Asset Identifiers box.

SHOWING MORE TRAILER SENSOR SERVICES IN DEVICE DETAILS

For customers with trailers using cargo sensors, in the Device Details window, we added three options to the Services tab, Brake System Monitoring, Lamp Monitoring, and Weight Monitoring, which will enable you to see if these have been enabled for the device and view their level of support.

IMPROVED ACCOUNT SWITCHER PERFORMANCE

We reduced the time it takes for the Account Switcher to load.

WARNING ABOUT 3,000 ASSETS LIMIT ON EXPORTS

On the Admin - Assets screen, we restored the dialog box that will warn you if you try to export more that 3,000 assets. When you click the Export icon (), the warning will once again inform you that only the first 3,000 assets will be included in the export.

DISPLAYING DATE RANGE SEARCH RESULTS’ EVENT TIMES IN YOUR TIME ZONE

On multiple screens, we fixed how date range searches (with Start Date and End Date calendar pickers) would display resulting event times; previously, the time values were being given in UTC, but now, you will see your own time zone’s hour/minute/second values.

ASSIGNING A LARGE NUMBER OF DEVICES TO A GROUP

We previously added the ability to assign a large number of devices to a new group, but some users ran into a bug that wouldn’t complete the Group Assignment bulk action if they had first filtered the Devices screen by group with the Does Not Belong to Any Group option selected. This issue has been fixed.

EXPORTING ASSETS THAT HAVE NO GROUP ASSIGNMENT

On the Admin - Assets screen, you can now apply a group filter using the Does Not Belong to Any Group selection and export the results to a CSV (comma-separated value) file. (Previously, this would return an empty file.)

NAVIGATING TO LEGACY CTC ADMIN

We added a toggle in the banner (to the right of CTC Admin Preview) that will enable you to navigate back to the legacy version of the platform.
