You can search for assets using partial keywords, which helps you to easily find exactly the ones you need. You also can use filters to find certain assets.
Searching for an Asset
To search for an asset, follow these steps:
- Click Admin in the left sidebar menu to expand its selections. (You may need to click its expansion arrow as well to see the submenu.)
- Click Assets on the submenu.
The Assets screen will appear.
- Type part of the asset's name in the Search by Asset Name field and press Enter.
Note: You can also copy and paste the names of several assets, separated by commas, in the search bar, but in this case, you'll need to use their full names.
Only assets that match your search criteria will appear in the grid.
Applying Filters
You can apply a filter to search for assets as follows:
- Click Admin in the left sidebar menu to expand its selections. (You may need to click its expansion arrow as well to see the submenu.)
- Click Assets on the submenu.
The Assets screen will appear.
- Click Filter to the right of the Search field.
The Filter options will appear.
- You can filter by VIN, license number, vehicle type, asset type, and group, plus status (Enabled, Disabled, or Suspended).
You also can apply more than one filter to further limit your results.
- Enter specific values based on the type of filter(s) you need.
- Click Filter at the bottom right.
Only assets that fit all your filters will appear in the grid.
